How to make a Snow Maiden costume for a girl with your own hands: simple, but bright and stylish solutions for a New Year's look. How to make a Snow Maiden costume as a carnival costume for the New Year

In most cases, standard ready-made costumes for the granddaughter of Santa Claus do not look presentable or very simple, and those that meet the specified requirements cost unreasonable money. A good option- this is to sew a Snow Maiden costume yourself.

IMPORTANT! It is worth noting that sewing a suit is quite a time-consuming task and you need to distribute your tasks and responsibilities so that you have enough time to meet the deadline.

Before you start work, you should decide on the style of the outfit. It will be long or short, tight-fitting or wide cut. It is necessary to adapt to the celebration, if it is a Youth party looks great short version. If the holiday will take place with your family, then you should opt for a laconic, calmer option, for example, a beautiful long outfit made of iridescent fabric.

Coat

Usually the outfit is sewn in the form of a trapezoid fur coat, that is, expanding downwards. The edges of the fur coat are trimmed with fur. But long version not always appropriate, especially when dancing is planned. The decoration of the fur coat mainly consists of the following decorations:

  • Shiny accessories - beads, pearl rhinestones;
  • Lace.

A fur coat is sewn using the following auxiliary materials and tools:

  • 3 meters of fabric. The color is usually chosen blue, blue, white, golden, beige;
  • Concealed zipper 50 cm;
  • Artificial fur;
  • For sewing, you will definitely need such standard tools as a tape measure, thread, needles, and pins.

Constructing a pattern

The first option for constructing a pattern will be the simplest if you have an old dress of a similar silhouette. The dress is cut at the seams and is already built on it new pattern. If there is no robe, you will have to model it yourself. For this purpose it is based basic pattern, which can be downloaded on the Internet, and you will need to expand it downwards by 8-12 cm. Then you need to lay out the fabric for cutting in a suitable place and cut it.

IMPORTANT! It is necessary to leave seam allowances of 1-2 cm. If you forget about them, the product will decrease by one size.

When making a sleeve, you can model a flashlight. It will work out if you increase the sleeve cap and make cuts at a distance of 2-3 cm from each other. The cuts should be marked from the middle of the sleeve going to the sides. Then you need to attach the pattern to the fabric and cut out the sleeve, do not forget about the seam allowances (1-2 cm).
To make a stand-up collar, you need to cut two pieces from fur and from the main fabric, 6-10 cm wide and a length equal to half the circumference of the neck. If the fabric is very soft, then you can put a paper base between the layers. Then you need to turn the collar right side out and sew it to the neckline, making a 0.5 cm long cut in the middle of the collar.

Product assembly

In order for the fur coat to turn out beautiful and there are no surprises, you must first sew all the details by hand and baste the seams. Then, if possible, try on the outfit.
After fitting, you can increase the armhole of the sleeve, if it is small, you can also increase the neckline of the collar.
If everything suits you, then you need to flash everything sewing machine and iron the seams. You can also overlock reliefs. They should be directed towards the center of the product.
When decorating a fur coat with fur, you need to sew it right side to the front side of the fur coat. If the fur consists of several parts, then first you need to sew all its parts end-to-end, that is, do not overlap the material, this must be done manually. After the fur has been sewn to the front side of the product, you need to fold it over to the front side and stitch it. The stitching should be as close to the edge of the fur as possible, 1-2 mm.

You can also decorate it with fur on the front, on the shelf. To do this, you just need to sew the fur on the sides. But you need to pay attention that the fur is directed from top to bottom. After all the fur parts have been sewn. You can comb them with a special brush or simply a comb.
All that remains is to sew in a hidden zipper; you can also use Velcro as a fastener.
You can decorate your fur coat with individual pearl beads or snowflakes.

Hat or kokoshnik

To start working on the kokoshnik, you need to draw it on paper, transfer it to cardboard and cut it out. You also need to prepare two parts from the selected fabric. One of the parts should be 2 cm larger.
Next, use glue to attach the parts to the cardboard. Then you can decorate the kokoshnik with lace, a ribbon of pearls and rhinestones. Using wide pieces of fabric, approximately 10 cm, or ready-made satin ribbons, make a kokoshnik fastening by sewing ribbons to the base.
Sometimes the kokoshnik is replaced with a hat. There are only 2 necessary measurements for a headdress - head circumference and hat height. Afterwards, the size of the coverage is divided into 4 wedge parts and about 1 cm is added for allowances. The next step will be to sew all the wedges together. After the wedges are sewn, it is necessary to sew the opposite sides together, so that when turned inside out the cap will look like a bath cap. After finishing the edges, turn the hat inside out. Along the edge it can be decorated with rhinestones, fur, and pearls.

Mittens

You can use a wide variety of materials for mittens - a piece of leftover fabric, fleece, an old and unnecessary warm sweater.

To build the first part of the pattern, you need to trace your hand without thumb. Then place only your index finger to circle your hand. The length of the finger can be set to 7 cm. By copying the second part so that the bottom has a rounded side - the top of the mitten, and the second part has a straight cut - the bottom of the mitten.
Once the pattern is constructed, you can begin cutting and sewing the pieces. First you need to sew 2 parts of the back side of the mitten, and only then sew them to the front side.
After all the details are sewn, you can decorate the mittens with various shiny accessories. You can also embroider a snowflake on the front side.

New Year's Snow Maiden costume for children

A children's New Year's costume requires thin silk or satin fabric, since holidays are often held indoors.

IMPORTANT! Natural material for fabric it is considered good choice, since even two hours spent in synthetics will cause discomfort to the child.

Coat

The pattern of a fur coat for children is no different from the pattern of a fur coat for an adult, you just need to reduce the size. And the darts on the chest should be reduced.
You can also sew another fur coat, with a yoke and a circle skirt. It is easy to construct, but will require a little more fabric.

To create a template for a yoke, you need to draw a circle whose radius is equal to the height of the chest. Chest height is measured from the base of the neck (the beginning of the shoulder seam) to the chest.
The circle skirt pattern is a circle, the radius of which is equal to the length of the product. Another one is placed in the center of the circle, its radius is equal to half the length of the body circumference, in the place where the parts will be connected, divided by 3.14. The two parts are sewn together so that the upper part overlaps. The dress can also be decorated with fur at the bottom. Scatter pearl beads randomly or decorate with rhinestones in the shape of snowflakes. You can choose a transparent material for the sleeve, for example, organza coated with glitter.

Hat for little Snow Maiden

It is good to make a blade hat from lightweight materials and trim it with rhinestones. You can also decorate the hat with New Year-themed appliqués. Stages of making a hat. First, the edge of the hat is made of fur, equal to the circumference of the head. Then, having put the edge on the child, we take the following measurements - the length from ear to ear and the length from the forehead to the back of the head. We got the measurements that will be needed when creating the pattern.

The pattern must be constructed in such a way that the front part is equal to a quarter of the circumference of the head. The remaining parts are equal to half the length from ear to ear. It is necessary to draw a triangle with right angles so that the parts are sewn together well. When sewing, the seams must be processed using an overlocker or hemmed by hand so that the edges do not fray. The next step involves sewing the crown and edge together. This must be done face to face throughout the circle. Then, from the inside out, fold the seam allowances and all the inside edges again and sew them on with hand stitches.

The headdress can be complemented with a pompom. To do this you need to prepare a large button and fur. From the fur, cut out a circle of diameters 2 times larger than the button, then you need to sew a stitch along the edge of the circle and tighten it at the end. The button should remain inside. All that remains is to sew the pompom to the top of the hat.

Mittens

For girls, you can sew mittens like potholders. You need to outline your hand on paper. Then, you need to transfer the pattern to the fabric, cut it and sew it together. This mitten is easy to put on and does not require the help of an adult. Also, if the celebration takes place outside, the mittens can be easily insulated by stitching the main fabric together with padding polyester and lining. You can choose a wide variety of decorations for mittens, the imagination of the master comes into play here.

Fleece: Felt: ORDER (delivery, cost and terms): http://www.odnoklassniki.ru/group/56855400742954/topic/62263878631466 PICKUP: Everyone New Year Father Frost comes to us with his granddaughter, Snegurochka. Even if they don’t enter the house, they will certainly appear on TV screens. Or even someone in the family or one of your friends will decide to dress up for the carnival in a Snow Maiden costume. Many representatives of the fair sex like it. After all, a girl or even a mature lady who wears a Snow Maiden costume looks like a queen - it is so elegant and luxurious. Indeed, a well-executed outfit can make its owner delightfully charming, downright charming. There are several types of Snow Maiden robes. These are the following options: a Snow Maiden costume made of a long, floor-length fur coat with a hat and fur trim; a short sexy fur coat with a hat or kokoshnik trimmed with fur; floor-length dress with lace inserts , transparent sleeves and kokoshnik. Features of the Snow Maiden's masquerade attire The main elements in this outfit are sparkles, rhinestones, fur, and lace. Often the Snow Maiden costume includes: high collars trimmed with beads, beads, pearls, rhinestones and lace; capes with fur trim; mittens with embroidery and fur; couplings; transparent raincoats or long capes (for dresses). Cape for an outfit By the way, the ability to sew this little thing will be useful not only for making the Snow Maiden’s New Year’s costume. A winter and demi-season coat with a cape looks great. And some styles of dresses suggest this detail, either made separately or sewn into the outfit. There are several options for sewing a cape. It can be made: a circular “sun”, with a slit in the front and a neckline; “half sun”, from a circle with a cut out segment; with oblique shoulder seams; completely repeating the shape of the shoulders with arms down. Drapes are made from various materials. Lace, transparent materials, knitwear, fur, and the main fabric of the outfit are used for sewing. When making a Snow Maiden costume for a girl, it is best to use a cape pattern with oblique shoulder seams. It is recommended to sew it from fur coat fabric and trim it with fur. Pattern for a cape If you wish, you can make a simply luxurious Snow Maiden costume with your own hands. The photo shows how great the little girl looks in this elegant outfit. Probably, the drape plays a huge role in the attire - a retro accessory that came to us from the past. Making a pattern with beveled shoulder seams is quite simple if you carefully examine the drawing. You need to make two patterns: for the front and the back. The back half is cut out by folding the fabric in half and placing the pattern with the vertical side to the fold of the material. The front consists of two parts. It is slightly wider than the back, as it allows a few centimeters for the design of the fastener or hem. You should also remember that the front is always a little wider than the back of the robe. Sewing gloves for the Snow Maiden's outfit Everyone remembers that, although it is warm in the festive room, it is winter outside. And the granddaughter of Santa Claus herself came to us from the northern city. Therefore, the Snow Maiden’s New Year’s costume is unthinkable without such an attribute as mittens. Making a pattern for mittens is easy. You just need to place your palm with folded fingers on the paper and trace it along the contour. When cutting, you should remember about the seams and that the palm was outlined without taking into account the volume of the hand. Therefore, you need to make about two centimeters allowances along the entire contour. Four parts are cut out. Two parts are cut “out”, and a couple are cut inside out. Sew the mittens by folding the patterns with the right sides facing inward. Then the blanks are turned inside out and trimmed with fur. Making a hat for the Snow Maiden and Father Frost. The hats of both characters are sewn identically. The base of the cap is made of four “irons” - this is how tailors jokingly call the type of this pattern. And it really does resemble the sole of an ironing tool. The “iron” pattern is prepared according to the drawing, where the lower base of the part is equal to a quarter of the volume of the head. The height of the figure is equal to half the size of the head, taken between the middles of the ears through the crown. In addition to the base of the cap, you need to prepare a lapel - a strip for the trim of any width and length equal to the volume of the head. You can take a measurement of head volume by measuring the circumference of the head through the middle of the ears with a centimeter. Wide sleeves in the Snow Maiden's outfit Airiness and a certain ephemerality are given to this character by flying flowing fabrics and a lush cut of the robe. For example, the Snow Maiden costume, the photo of which is presented here, has luxurious wide sleeves with a wavy edge trimmed with fur. This creates a fabulous effect - as if a huge strange bird flew to a holiday from a childhood fairy tale. These sleeves are not that difficult to cut. It is enough to take a pattern of a regular sleeve and spread the seam lines to the sides as far as the width of the fabric allows. You can also cut out any edge line. Only hemming an uneven sleeve will now be more difficult to do than is done with a regular cut. You will need to use either hem or bias tape. Fitted fur coat, floor length. This is the most common Snow Maiden costume. The photo shows how elegant this character looks in an outfit that shows off her charm. female figure. Such a fur coat is usually sewn from satin fabric. Lining silk will also work. The color of the material is best to choose either white or blue. Although other shades of blue would be quite appropriate here. The pattern for the Snow Maiden's costume is based on the principle of a fitted long robe dress. You can also use clothes from your wardrobe that have been lying around unclaimed for a long time. You will need to remove the parts template from it. Most often, dressmakers simply rip open the old outfit at the seams, smooth out the details with an iron - and here are the ready-made patterns for the outfit. The fur coat is short, straight silhouette (cut) You can make a Snow Maiden costume for a girl without ripping out old dresses. In order to cut a short straight fur coat, you should build simple pattern. This option is suitable for those who need to make a Snow Maiden costume with their own hands in an extremely short time. Of course, it is better for novice craftsmen to try to draw patterns on paper, then cut a thing out of old sheets, which they decided to use on rags, baste and try on - check the correctness of the pattern. But experienced tailors can cut directly onto the fabric. Draw a rectangle with dry soap or chalk. Its length should be equal to twice the length of the product, since the shoulder seams will not be sewn down. The transverse fold line of the pattern will serve as their role. The width of the rectangle should be equal to the width of the fur coat. The front piece will need to be cut in half lengthwise just to the center point (where the diagonals intersect). This is where the neckline is made. It is deeper in the front than in the back. The sleeves are also shaped like rectangles. The fold of the fabric runs lengthwise. The fur coat is short, straight silhouette (tailoring). It is recommended to first sew the cut, but not stitched, sleeves to the main rectangle. The blank will resemble a cross or a helicopter (without the tail). After this you can grind side seams fur coats with seams in the sleeves. The finishing is done either with fur or white fleecy fabric. Sometimes it is also made from satin. You can use pompoms, tinsel, large fabric-covered buttons, a sash or a wide belt. Sun-flared fur coat with round yoke You can quickly sew such a Snow Maiden costume with your own hands. The photo demonstrates how elegant, elegant and even luxurious it can turn out. For the yoke, cut out a circle with a radius equal to the height of the chest. The front yoke has a slit. In the center you need to make a neck of any size. The lower part is also cut in the shape of a circle. Its radius is equal to the length of the product minus the radius of the yoke. In the middle of the pattern there is a concentric circle, the circumference of which is equal to the girth of the body in the place where the yoke will be connected to the bottom of the outfit. You can calculate the radius of the inner circle using the formula: half the length of the body circumference divided by 3.14. The yoke is trimmed with fur and embroidered. The skirt (lower part) is sewn from below to the yoke so that the upper part overlaps. Not a flat hem, but a curly one, looks very beautiful. Fluffy pom-poms made of fur sewn to the bottom of the robe look simply gorgeous. The sleeves of this outfit can be of any style, at the request of the master. Kokoshnik for the Snow Maiden You can replace the hat with a beautiful kokoshnik. It is manufactured by the most different materials. The simplest ones are made from cardboard and decorated with glitter, tinsel, cotton wool, foil figures, and beads. You can make a kokoshnik frame from wire, stretch white or blue lace over it and embroider it with silver threads, beads, and tinsel. Nylon, chiffon or other transparent fabric would be appropriate here. Source 1.

DIY Snow Maiden costume We present to your attention a small master class on how to sew such a costume. You will need a set of the following materials: Fabric with a shiny shade. Which color to choose is up to you. It can be like classic light shades, and cream or lilac tones. Artificial fur. As an alternative - velvet or velor., cover it with tinsel and thus get a simple but effective version of the outfit. Let's move on to sewing the hat. The Snow Maiden's headdress should be sewn from the same fabric as the main outfit. To determine your hat size, you need to measure your head circumference, add three to the measurement, and then divide by six. The result obtained is the width of the wedge, and the Snow Maiden’s hat has six of them. The height of the product is measured from the crown to the ear. When cutting out a hat, be sure to allow for seam allowances. You can use fur, tinsel, rhinestones, and sparkles as decoration. If you are afraid of ruining your hair, it is better to give preference to a kokoshnik, which you can also make yourself. Produce accessories for New Year's costumes doing it yourself is very interesting, because you put a piece of yourself into your creation! To do this you will need elastic wire, cardboard or collar fabric, and glue. You need two wires for the rim, and one for the crown (top of the kokoshnik). Here is an example: 1. Cut out the middle of the headband from fabric or cardboard and sew the material to the wire. 2. Cut out the part for the upper crown and also sew it to the wire. 3. Take the brocade and paste it over the back of the future headdress. To do this, the part must be cut with an allowance. To make the gluing process easier, use paper clips. 4. Then we glue the material to the front part of the kokoshnik. This is what should happen as a result: Don’t forget: the Snow Maiden should have light boots on her feet, and to give the look a truly winter look, complement it with warm mittens or a fluffy muff.

Some are satisfied with a regular evening with competitions or a well-thought-out program, others create a real performance and invite everyone with their children. For such costume parties, a DIY Snow Maiden costume, pattern (adult) will come in handy.

Who doesn't want to be someone else, at least for an evening? Instead of the usual boring gatherings, organize a real carnival, where everyone could become anyone. How to create the right costumes? Is it worth buying things for the evening or is it easier to do it yourself? It’s up to everyone to decide. Everyone at home has unnecessary old dresses, scraps of fabric, and if you wish, you can find cotton wool or padding polyester. Why not put it all to work?

Do-it-yourself - advantages

Before cutting, you need to decate the fabric. To do this, lay it out in front of you on a flat, smooth surface, fold it in half so that the right sides are on the inside and the edges are towards you. When cutting, look at the design or pile so as not to go against it. Lay out all the details finished pattern and circle or attach with pins - as you wish. However, when cutting, each time estimate 1.5-2 cm from the edge for allowances and seams.

Step two - sleeves

Of course, you can choose the model for the dress that you like best, but the product will still have sleeves. For example, if they are in the form of lanterns. For such a sleeve you need a large rollback. First, the Snow Maiden costume with your own hands, the pattern (adult) for the sleeve is made on paper, using the upper part as the base. Further along the rollback, make several marks, keeping a distance of a couple of centimeters, from the center, orienting towards one side, then the other. Then, from the set points, follow the line down, respectively, to the intersection of the sleeve with the horizontal line marking the height of the rollback.

First, cut along the resulting lines, slightly short of their intersection 0.2 cm, then cut the sleeves horizontally, leaving the required space on the edge of the pattern 0.2 cm. Then lay out the result obtained on the fabric itself, turn the roll to the sides to the desired size . After the outline, make the same allowances of 1.5-2 cm at the seams, and 1 cm is enough at the bottom.

Connecting the parts

Step three - first sew all the reliefs for the shelves and back, then connect the middle seam (without sewing the zipper location), then the side seams. Next, using the overlocker, carefully overcast all the reliefs (allowances together). The middle seam will be pressed open, with the seam allowances facing the sides (not connected).

Basics

Here you will need tailor's pins. Lay out the resulting product in front of you on a flat, smooth surface, aligning the side seams, then the reliefs of the shelf, and of course the back. Align all the cuts of the rollback, neckline with the finished shoulder seams, record the result. DIY Snow Maiden costume, pattern (adult) is almost ready. All that remains is to align the bottom and the armhole (before fitting, it is better to carefully try on the product, see how the armhole goes, the cutout in front is not too deep). Then split all the pins and finish the shoulder seams (they need to be sewn together), then press them to the back.

Fur processing

Cut a strip from it for the bottom, about 8 cm wide, and so long that it covers the entire bottom. Baste the fur trim first, aligning the furry front side of the strip with the other, back side of the piece itself. Moreover, if the shaggy strip does not turn out to be one piece, but in the form of several products, sew from the inside.

Sleeve processing

First you need to stitch, then overcast all the seams of the sleeves, then, using contrasting threads, evenly lay two lines on each in parallel for the subsequent assembly of the lanterns. Then slowly pull the threads together, holding both of them, making an even assembly, without sharp transitions.

Processing the bottom of the sleeves

The bottom of both sleeves should also be fur like the bottom of the dress. Then sew the finished sleeves to the dress. This requires a double line.

Collar

DIY Snow Maiden costume, pattern (adult) is impossible to imagine without a stand-up collar. The Snow Maiden also has fur. The pattern of such a collar is simple; it looks like a strip of fabric, to which a strip of fur is then sewn. Then the collar needs to be sewn along the armhole to the dress.

All that remains is to sew in a hidden zipper so that the fastener is in the area of the stand-up collar.
The Snow Maiden wears either a kokoshnik or a fur hat of the same color as her dress. A kokoshnik can be made from cardboard with fabric and beads. You can fold them into different patterns, and cover the edges of the headdress with lace.

Good day everyone, dear Babies!
New Years is soon! The most long-awaited holiday of the year. Let's prepare our little ones for the New Year's ball.

Snow Maiden dress for girls (about 6 months)
I’m not a master of cutting and sewing (I prefer to knit), but I can make something... So I decided to sew it for my daughter New Year's holiday costume, I thought for a long time about what it would be and settled on the Snow Maiden costume. I’ll say right away that I don’t particularly know how to sew (I didn’t study anywhere - everything was done using the PUCK method). But I still think that my experience will be useful and will help someone... And if at least one person likes it, then it’s not in vain that I started all this. According to my description, it will be possible to make a pattern for a dress even for a person who has decided to do this for the first time! I SEWED THE DRESS FROM CURTAIN FABRIC (there was a piece left about 1 m x 1.5 m and it was enough for the head), I decorated it with what I had in stock at home. So let's get started...
Bodice for dress

Size 22 (we will be almost 6 months old by NG, weight - about 8 kg (I think plus 500 grams by NG, height - 64cm (plus 1-2 cm by NG)

Constructing a pattern drawing

To create a pattern drawing, the following measurements are required:
Height……………………………………………………… 64cm

Length of bra to waist (Dis)…………. 20cm (15cm) later I’ll write what 15cm is for)
Neck semicircle (Posh)……………….12cm

Chest semicircle (POg)……………..22cm (+2=24)

For a loose fit, 2-4 cm is added to the chest semicircumference measurement and all further calculations are based on this value:

22 + 2 = 24 cm.

Draw a right angle with the vertex at point P (I immediately apologize for the quality of the photos, because I took pictures while my daughter was sleeping and there was dim light in the room, and there was no time at any other time!)

Bra length. From point P, we put down the taken measurement (20 cm) or the length of the bodice obtained by calculation (1/5 of the height plus 8 cm), and put the point T.

Armhole depth. From point P downwards we set aside 1/3 POg plus 4.5 cm and set point G: RG = 24:3 + 4.5 = 12.5 cm.

From points G and T to the left we draw horizontal lines of the chest and waist.

Bodice width. From point G to the left we put POg with an increase of 2 cm for a loose fit and set point GG1 = 22+2=24 cm.

Through point G1 we draw a vertical line of arbitrary length, at its intersection with the waist line we place point T1.

Width of back, armhole and front. We divide line GG1 into three equal parts and put points G2 and G

From point G2 we restore the perpendicular and the point of intersection of it with a horizontal line drawn from point P to the left, denoted by P.

Side line. We divide the distance G2G3 in half and designate the middle as point G4.

From point G4 we lower the perpendicular to the point where it intersects with the horizontal line T T1 and denote T2.

Sprout width. From point P to the left we set aside 1/3 POsh plus 2 cm and place point P1:

PP1 = 12:3 + 2 = 6 cm.

Sprout depth. From point P we put 5 cm down and put point P2.

We connect points P1 and P2 with a concave curve.

Shoulder width. We connect points P1 and P1 with a straight line and, extending it by 2 cm, place point P2.

From point G2 along the bisector of the angle, set aside 2 cm and place point O. To design the back armhole, connect points P2, O and G4 with a concave line.

Front height. From point G1 upward we set aside a value equal to the depth of the armhole plus 2 cm, and set point P3: G1 P3 = 12.5 + 2 = 14.5 cm.

From point P3 to the right we draw a horizontal line and the point of intersection of it with the perpendicular restored from point G3 is designated P3.

Neck width. From point P3 to the right we set aside 1/3 POsh plus 2cm and place point P4:

Р3Р4 = 12: 3 + 2 = 6cm.

Neck depth. From point P3 downwards we set aside 1/3 POsh plus 5 cm and place point P5:

Р3Р5 = 12: 3 + 5 = 9 cm (you can do a little less, for example 8 cm, because my neckline turned out to be too big)

We connect points P4 and P5 with a straight line. We divide the P4P5 line in half and mark the middle with point O1. From point O1 at a right angle we set aside 1.5 cm and place point O2.

We connect points P4, O2 and P5 with a concave curve.

Clasp. From points P2 and T to the right at right angles we set aside 6 cm and put points O4 and O5, which we connect with a straight line. From point O4 we set aside 1 cm upward and place point O6. We connect points O6 and P2.

Shoulder tilt. From point P3 we put 1 cm down and put point P4.

Front shoulder width. Connect points P4 and P4 with a straight line and, continuing by 2 cm, place point P5. From point G3 along the bisector of the angle we set aside 2 cm and place point O3. To design the front armhole, connect points P5, O3 and G4 with a concave curve.

Or here is a pattern from a book (you can trace all the points using this drawing and everything will be clear and understandable)

Using this drawing you can make a pattern for a bra for children school age- quote from the book!

Construction of a sleeve pattern drawing.

The width of the upper part of the sleeve. From point G to the left, set aside one and a half width of the armhole of the dress (armhole width = 1/4POg) plus 4 cm (for all sizes) and set point G1: GG1 = 5.5 + 2.25 + 4 = 12.25 (I take 12.5 cm).

The width of the lower part of the sleeve. From point G1 to the left, set aside the width of the dress’s armhole plus 1 cm and set point G2: G2 = 5.5 + 1 = 6 cm.

The width of the front roll. From point G to the right, set aside 5 cm (for all sizes) and set point G3.

From points G2 and G3 we lower the perpendiculars and the points of intersection of them with the bottom line are designated as H1 and H2, and the point of intersection with the elbow line is designated as L1.

Notch. From point L1 to the left, set aside 1 cm (for all sizes) and place point L2. We connect points G3, L2 and H2 with straight lines.

Distance to the middle of the rim. From point G to the left, set aside the width of the dress’s armhole (5.5 cm) and place point G4. From point G4 we restore the perpendicular and the point of intersection of it with the horizontal line drawn from point A, denoted by P.

Auxiliary point. From point G4 upward we set aside 2.5 cm (3.5 for all large sizes) and set point O1. We connect points O and O1 with a straight line and continue it until it intersects with the perpendicular line restored from point G1. We denote the intersection point as O2.

From point P to the right, set aside 1.5 cm (for all sizes) and place point P1.

We connect points P and O2, as well as P1 and O with straight lines. We divide straight lines PO2 and P1O in half and put 0.5 cm perpendicularly from the middle and put points O6 and O5.

For large sizes, we do it differently: from point P1 down along the line P1O we set aside 4.5 cm (for all sizes) and put point O4. From points O3 and O4 at right angles we set aside 1.25 cm for the convexity of the edge and place points O5 and O6.

To design the okat, we connect points G2, O8, O2, O6, P, P1, O5, O, O7 and G3 with a smooth curve. I did not set points O8 and O 7, because so everything went fine. But for large sizes I will describe how to set them.

From point G along the angle bisector we set aside 2 cm and place point O7, and from point G1 we set aside 3 cm and place point O8.

We continue building the sleeve...

From point G1 to the right we set aside 2.5 cm (for all sizes) and put point G5, from which we lower the perpendicular to the intersection with the line H1H2 and mark the intersection point as H3. From point H3 we set aside 2 cm downwards (2.5 cm for large sizes) and set point H4 to ensure free movement of the arm when bending. To design the bottom of the sleeve, connect points H1, H4, H and H2 with a curve.

I also wanted to gather the sleeve at the bottom when sewing, but when I started sewing, I decided to leave the flared sleeve.

For the bottom of the dress I used a sun skirt according to the pattern in the photo.

Skirt length – 25 cm

The semicircle of the waist took the total length of the bottom of the bodice to the dress (Sweat) - 29 cm.

We draw a horizontal line of arbitrary length, divide it in half and mark the middle with point A (see figure)

Waist length. From the point to the right, left and down we put aside 1/3 Pot minus 1 cm and put points T, T1 AND T2. Next, we connect them with a semicircle.

Skirt length. From points T, T1 AND T2 we set aside 25 cm and put points H, H1 AND H2, WHICH WE ALSO CONNECT A SEMI CIRCLE.

Here are all the resulting patterns (there are also patterns for slippers and hats in the photo):

And for the lining (of thinner fabric)

I also sewed a hat and slippers for the costume. I didn’t do a master class on slippers, because... There are clear ones on the Internet. And the hat was sewn from 4 wedges (there are cut out patterns in the photo) the hat is three-layer: main fabric, padding polyester and lining.

I won’t show you how I sewed all the details together, because... I don’t do this according to the sewing rules, but as it’s convenient for me, and my machine was malfunctioning, so I had to do some of the work by hand. pardon

I sewed, processed and decorated everything and this is what came out in the end:

1. The whole set: dress, hat and dance3 shoes

The hat is decorated with a frill, silver ribbon, tinsel and beads
