Crochet chazuble lily. Fashion PLUS

Material:
600-700 g of cotton threads “lily”, “poppy”, “narcissus”. Hook 2mm.

Performance:
The French word "chasuble" means lace. summer coat. The chazuble consists of separate fragments, which are connected during knitting according to the pattern with a one-piece sleeve.

Start the fragment with a chain of ten chain loops. Make three rows of mesh fabric on the chain. From the fourth row, knit according to the pattern, in the round, across the face. In the sixth and last row, under arcs of eight chain stitches, make thirteen double crochets.

The fragments are connected to each other in four places. Knit the first fragment completely. For the second fragment, do not knit 1.5 sides in the last row. At the top of the corner of the second fragment, make: two air loops, single crochet, chain two and slip the loop off the hook. Insert the hook from the face into the double crochet loop of the first fragment. Pick up the dropped loop on the wrong side and pull it over your face. Work seven double crochets in a row and slip the loop off the hook. Insert the hook into the loop of the seventh double crochet of the first fragment and pull out the dropped loop. Continue connecting the fragments in this way.

When assembling the chazuble, leave a cut on the side to the height of five fragments. The width and depth of the neck correspond to one fragment. The fragments do not have a clear apex of the corner, so at the bottom of the armhole six fragments are connected to each other, not four.

Tie the edge of the side, neck and slits. First, make a leveling row across the face, alternating single crochets and chain stitches. Break the thread. Make the first finishing row with single crochets. If you need a strip, tie it on in three or four rows before making the finishing row.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The model is made in a single canvas with a pattern according to the scheme.

Knit a sample pattern. Determine the knitting density and make a calculation using the pattern.

Start knitting from the shoulder line. Link st. from the beginning of the back, to the armhole. Then, from the shoulder line of the back, begin to perform shelves. Make additions at the armhole and neckline in the form of st. s/n, without including them in the main pattern (see shaded areas on the pattern). When the number of added st. s/n along the neck reaches 18 (pattern repeat is 18), then include them in the main knitting pattern. At the armholes, add up to 9 tbsp. s/n (half rapport) and connect the armholes of the back and front, include the added st. s/n (9 + 9 = 18) in a knitting pattern. Next, knit in a single fabric (fronts and back) without seams to the desired length. There are teeth on the bottom of the product. Knit each clove separately. Tie the finished product around the perimeter with one row of st. b/n and next to the “crawfish step”. Tie the armholes with 2 rows of st. b/n and next to the “crawfish step”. Sew on a decorative hook fastener.
FOR REFERENCE:

Chazuble (translated from French as “chasuble”). The chazuble was worn by the clergy and was used in full vestments, primarily in the Roman Catholic, Anglican and Lutheran churches.
Chazubl had different lengths and style. So, even having become an element of a woman’s wardrobe, it retained its diversity. Currently, a chazuble is most often a long vest. As a rule, the length of the chazuble reaches almost to the ankles, but there may also be models that only reach to the knees. The clasp can be from top to bottom, or just one in the chest area. The chazuble often has side slits.
You can wear it open - with a dress, trousers, or tightly buttoned - with a blouse.
The chazuble can be a fitted or straight silhouette. Its silhouette visually elongates and slims the figure.
