Gingerbread men. Patterns

In the West, there is a wonderful Christmas tradition - baking gingerbread, which often serves as a decoration for the Christmas tree. And we will try gingerbread cookies for the Christmas tree... sew! Such gingerbread cookies will never go stale or spoil. You can decorate your green beauty with them for many years. In addition (obviously), they do not fight and are not afraid even of hyperactive space explorers: small children and pets.

Ingredients for textile gingerbread can be found in any home:
1) Fabric (white calico). You don’t have to run to the store for fabric; you can use a white sheet.
2) White sewing threads
3) Filling: padding polyester or padding polyester. Cotton wool or scraps of fabric will do just fine.
4) PVA glue
5) Instant coffee
6) Ground cinnamon
7) Acrylic paints(I have glossy Decola, but any other acrylic will work fine): white, red, green or any of your favorite colors
8) Strong thick thread (for example, “Iris” for crocheting).
9) Brushes (thin and thick)

Print the pattern and enlarge it to A4 sheet size:

As you can see, we have here not only gingerbread men, but a Christmas tree, a home and a heart. You can dream up and come up with something of your own, but you can also learn from the example of ready-made forms: gingerbread boy and girl.

We transfer the contours of the figures onto the fabric, not forgetting that we need to leave seam allowances. 3-5 mm each. from all sides.

Then we take a needle and thread in our hands and use basting stitches to sew our little men along the contour:

After which they can be cut out, it will turn out neatly, and the parts will not move.

Next you need to sew the parts together completely. if you have sewing machine, then you can use it. If not, this is not a reason to abandon the idea. The height of the figures is only 10 cm, sewing them by hand is not difficult. Don't forget to leave a small hole on the side for stuffing.

After the men are stitched, they need to be carefully turned right side out. To make the seams look neat, we will do the following: in those places where the angle of curvature of the contour is 90 degrees or less, we will make small cuts, slightly short of the seam.

Now you can turn it inside out.

We stuff the future gingerbread cookies through the hole left in the side. You need to stuff it quite tightly so that during subsequent painting the fabric does not become deformed.

Sew up the hole with small stitches. We knead the toy a little in our hands so that the stuffing is distributed evenly.

These are the beauties we got.

It's time to make rosy gingerbread cookies from this pale dough. Let's prepare the mixture for painting. Mix two teaspoons of coffee, one teaspoon of cinnamon, a third of a glass of water and a tablespoon of PVA glue until smooth.

Using a brush, apply the mixture to one side of the figures.

Place them in a heat-resistant container and put them in the microwave or oven. Gingerbread cookies need to be baked, what did you think? In the microwave, the figures dry in about 6 minutes at a power of 500W. More high temperature You shouldn’t put it there, as the filling may start to burn and there will be nothing left of the pleasant gingerbread smell. When drying in the oven, you should adhere to the same principle: drying the toy a little longer at medium temperature is preferable to burning it in three minutes at the highest.

After one side has dried, you can paint the second.

And here they are, our rosy and very fragrant gingerbread cookies!

Holiday gingerbread cookies are usually decorated with white or multi-colored icing. Well, we will not break traditions. We take a thin brush in our hands and turn on our imagination!

White jewelry is, of course, good... But something is missing. Colors!

Small red and green dots are very lively and create a festive feeling.

Well, the gingerbread cookies are completely ready, but we seem to have already forgotten that we were going to decorate the Christmas tree with them! Let's make loops. They are made very simply: a thick thread is threaded, no matter how terrible it may sound, through the little man’s head, its ends are tied in a knot.

So our gingerbread family is ready, along with real estate! Here is a mustachioed retired general, and his fashionista wife in bows, and their grown-up children, and a house, and a decorated Christmas tree, and, of course, a heart as a symbol of home comfort and love. All of them will undoubtedly bring a little more warmth and holiday feeling to your home.

Any felt products can only be washed by hand at 30 degrees. Before washing, the craft must be cleaned of dust with a dry brush. Felt should be washed with laundry or baby soap. The material is not twisted, but dried under natural conditions.

To work with sheets you will need office supplies:

  • scissors
  • marker
  • threads

  • beads and beads

For small parts you will need straight-tipped scissors, and for thick felt, a roller knife. If you need to cut a round part, you can use a punch to install eyelets. You should also use floss threads to work with felt. With their help you can create a pattern on the fabric itself.

The gingerbread man is one of the symbols of Christmas in Europe and America. Cookies in the shape of a funny man are baked for the holiday and painted with colored icing or chocolate. IN last years Such little people appeared among us too. And I propose to sew a Christmas tree toy in the shape of an elegant gingerbread man.

To make the “Gingerbread Man” toy we will need:

  • - beige or light brown felt;
  • - red felt;
  • - padding polyester;
  • - white bindweed braid;
  • - Red ribbon;
  • - golden braid;
  • - red braid with snowflakes or just red;
  • - white braid consisting of flowers or snowflakes;
  • - threads of red, black, beige and white flowers;
  • - scissors;
  • - black beads;
  • - needle.

Operating procedure

1. Let's draw a gingerbread man figurine on paper. Let's cut out the figure and draw pants for the man using it. We'll cut them out too. The pattern for the toy, consisting of two parts, is ready.

2. Place the man figurine on beige felt, trace it and cut it out. In total we will need two such figures.

3. Now let’s transfer the panties pattern to red felt. You will need two of these parts.

4. Take one beige part of the man figurine and sew beaded eyes to it.

5. Embroider the mouth with red thread.

6. Using beige threads, we will sew a figurine of a man from two parts. We will sew them together with small, neat stitches. buttonhole seam. You don’t need to stitch it all the way, you need to leave an unsewn area on the side through which we can stuff the figure.

7. We fill the figure with padding polyester, pushing the padding polyester with a pencil or stick first into the man’s head, then into the arms and legs, and only then into the body.

8. Use beige thread to sew up the unfinished area on the figure.

9. Take the parts of the panties, cut out of red felt, attach one part to the front of the figure, and attach the second to the back. Let's sew the sides and internal seams. For stitching we will need red threads.

10. Take the red braid with snowflakes and cut two pieces about 9 cm long each. We need these pieces to make straps on the pants.

11. Sew the straps to the pants.

12. Cut two flowers from the white braid and sew them to the front of the pants. If there is no such braid, you can sew two small buttons in white or any other color.

13. Take four small pieces of bindweed braid, wrap each piece around the legs and arms of the man and sew them with white thread. This braid will create the effect of painted sugar icing.

14. Fold a piece of red ribbon with its edges towards the middle and sew it, pulling the middle with a red thread - we will get a festive bow tie for the little man.

15. Sew the butterfly to the figure. Now our little man looks even more elegant.

16. Everyone Christmas decorations there should be a loop. We will make a loop for our toy from a piece of golden braid approximately 21 cm long.

17. Fold the prepared piece of braid in half and sew it to the back side of the figure. On top we will sew a flower cut from the white braid, then the toy will look neater.

18. This is what the toy gingerbread man looks like from the front.

The “Gingerbread Man” Christmas tree toy is ready, it will look good on the Christmas tree. You can also make the gingerbread man a girl - to do this, you need to sew not panties, but a sundress or a skirt to the figure. A toy gingerbread man will also be a good, unusual addition to a Christmas gift.
