We knit a children's vest with knitting needles and cast on 60 stitches. Stylish vest for girls knitted

Every girl wants to be a little lady, and this does not depend on age. Remember yourself as a child - everyone wanted to become adults as soon as possible and have a beautiful and fashionable wardrobe. A knitted vest for a girl is what your princess needs. We have selected the most interesting sleeveless vests and knitted ponchos, all patterns with detailed description are offered to your attention. A knitted vest for a girl is not only beautiful, but also necessary. A knitted sleeveless vest with a collar is very practical - it will always keep the child’s throat warm - and this is a big plus.

Knitting is always in fashion. Such stylish vest for girls, knitted with large knitting needles 9 mm thick. This model is well suited for those who have just begun to master knitting techniques. This sleeveless vest for a girl is knitted in one piece; in the middle of the fabric we make a very in a simple way. If you think that such a neckline will be inconvenient for a child, reduce it as usual: smaller on the back, larger depth of the neckline on the shelf. Only in this case it is better to knit such a poncho for a girl using knitting needles from 2 halves, and then sew the shoulder seams. The knitted sleeveless vest is suitable for a 5-6 year old girl.

To work you will need:

  1. Knitting needles 9 mm thick.
  2. Thick yarn Bernat (acrylic 100% 100 m/100 g) - 5-6 skeins.
  3. Additional spoke.
  4. Circular knitting needles for collars.
  5. 6 buttons.

Before work, it is better to take basic measurements so as not to bandage the product. Measure your child's hip volume and back length: from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the product. Measure the volume of your neck. In order to determine the width of the sleeveless vest, divide the resulting hip volume by 2. And add 5-7 cm. for a loose fit. At first we will knit not just with an elastic band, but with an offset simple elastic band (row - knit, row - knit, purl, knit...). We will also have an offset elastic band on the sides.

Main pattern: stockinette stitch.
We start knitting from the back. We put 55 loops on the knitting needles and knit:

1st row: knit the entire row.
2nd r.: remove 1 p., 1 p., 1 knit., 1 p., 1 knit., and so on, until the end of the r.
3rd row: knit the entire row.
4th r.: Slip 1 p., P1, k1, p1, k1, etc., until the end of the r.
5th row: knit the entire row.
Row 6: slip 1 st, p1, k1, p1, k1, then purl 45 stitches, p1, k1, p1, k1, p1 .

So we knit as many rows as the length of the child’s back. For our model it is 58 rows. Divide 55 in half, mark the middle with a pin. Next: 5 offset loops. with an elastic band, 12 sts as the knitting looks, close 21 loops, 12 sts as the knitting looks, 5 sts offset. res. Next, leave one shoulder on an additional knitting needle. We knit the second shoulder 2 more rows. We return to the 1st shoulder - we also knit 2 rows. Then we dial for additional. knitting needle 21 new loops, and then we knit the front. We tied the front to the end, closed the loops, and sewed the side panels for 15 rows. Dial at circular knitting needles gate loops, knit 20 rows, close the loops.

Sew on the buttons.

Work the first row of the trail in the RS pattern: 5 sts (= placket) - see explanation above, * k2, p2 *, repeat from *-* until 7 sts remain, finish with k2 and 5 sts in garter stitch (= bar). Continue ribbing in the same manner with 5 stitches in garter stitch on both sides until the piece is 3-3-4 (4-5) cm high - Don't forget the button holes on the placket - see explanation above. Switch to 3 mm circular needles and knit in stockinette stitch, but continue the stripes in garter stitch as before.

At the same time, in the first row after the elastic, evenly decrease 32-36-40 (44-52) sts (do not decrease on the bars) = 116-132-144 (160-172) sts. Insert a marker at 31-35-39 (43-45 ) sts on both sides (= 54-62-66 (74-82) sts between markers on back).

At a piece height of 15-17-18 (20-21) cm, knit 2 sts in garter stitch on the first 5 sts on the knitting needle (do not knit the remaining sts on the knitting needle), then knit 1 row on all stitches before knitting 2 rows in garter stitch on the first 5 p on the knitting needle on the other side of the part (this is done for neat V-neck). Then turn it down for V-neck: Decrease 1 st every 2nd row (i.e. every row with RS) 12-13-16 (16-16) times in total.

At the same time, at a piece height of 16-17-19 (20-22) cm, knit 4 p in garter stitch on middle 18-20-20 (20-20) sts on both sides (i.e. on 9-10-10 (10- 10) sts on both sides of each marker) - knit the remaining sts as before. Continue with the Double Rice and Handkerchief pattern knitted until the piece measures 24-26-29 (31-34) cm. Now knit in garter stitch on all stitches until the desired length is achieved. At the same time, at a piece height of 25-27-30 (32-35) cm, bind off the middle 16-18-20 (20-24) sts for the neck = 10-11-12 (16-18) sts left for each shoulder. Now finish each shoulder separately. Continue with garter stitch until piece measures 26-28-31 (33-36) cm, bind off sts.

Left shelf:

continue with the Double Rice pattern and garter stitch, at the same time decrease for the armhole as on the back and continue decreasing for the V-neck as before. After the last decrease, 10-11-12 (16-18) stitches remained on the needle. Work in garter stitch on all stitches until the piece measures 26-28-31 (33-36) cm and bind off the stitches.

Right shelf:

knit like the left front, but mirrored.

Pocket cut:

return 16-16-20 (20-24) sts from one stitch holder to the needles. Work ribbing k2/p2 with 1 st in garter stitch and k2 on both sides (as viewed from RS). When the length of the pocket cut is 2.5-2.5-3 (3-3) cm, loosely bind off the stitches with knit over knit and purl over purl. Sew the pocket opening. Sew the pocket opening to the slit (where the loops were placed on the loop holder). Make the second pocket cut in the same way.

Knitting is a skill that every woman can master. This is an amazing handicraft in which you will show your imagination and make unique things.

Women enjoy knitting things for themselves, for their relatives and, of course, for their children. You always want to see them neat, smart and different from other children.

In addition to beauty, you also need to take care of the warmth and comfort of the products..

The smallest children need warm and comfortable clothes. You can independently dress children aged 1 year in beautiful wardrobe items.

At this time, there are frequent walks in the fresh air, and a warm sleeveless vest will be very useful. Currently knitted products very popular, sleeveless vests knitted with knitting needles are considered especially fashionable.

Mothers have many questions about raising children, including.

Knitting front

At the beginning, the knitting process is absolutely similar to the previous stage. Also cast on 69 stitches and knit an elastic band the same length as the back.

We begin to decrease the loops. We calculate the middle one on the front part and leave it, do not knit it. After this, to the right and left of it, gradually decrease 1 loop (in each row) - for 12 rows. The work can be considered completed at a height of 34-39 centimeters.

Collecting details

Take both parts of the future product and make one seam on the shoulder.

Now we make an edging at the future neck: lift the outer loops onto the knitting needles, those located at the edge of the neckline (don’t forget to grab the unknitted one in the middle) and then knit several rows with the selected elastic band (2*2 or 1*1).

Please note - in each row you must knit two loops together from the missing middle loop of the front part.

Are you done? You can sew the remaining shoulder seam and sew the edging at the neckline.

Now all that remains is to finish the armholes. At the edge of each armhole, take all the loops on the knitting needles and knit them with a similar elastic band (which was used when knitting the back and front). That's it, you can close the loops.

The final stage of work is connecting the remaining edges of the vest with threads that match the color of the yarn.

We hope everything worked out for you! We are very happy to be of service.

How to knit a vest - video

For another way to knit such a vest for a baby, see the following video:

Hello, my dear readers!

The topic of our meeting today is a knitted sleeveless vest for a child. By clicking on the name of the pattern, you will be taken to a page with its description.

I knitted this warm (thanks to the yarn and compressed pattern) sleeveless vest for my one-year-old granddaughter Sashenka, its SIZE is 80/86, so next winter he will still wear it (I hope).

By the way, knitted with the same knitting, which is loved by many.

To knit a sleeveless vest for a child I used:

  • 150 g (1.5 skein) of wool blend sectional yarn in gray melange color Super Excellence trademark"MAGIC" (100 grams - 228 m);
  • knitting needles No. 3 and No. 4;
  • stocking needles No. 3.

Now this yarn is no longer produced, but if I had caught my eye then on Alpaca Royal yarn from ALIZE (250 m/100 g), I would have taken it without hesitation (you can click on the link and get to know this yarn better).

To finish the bottom of the sleeveless vest, armholes and neckline, I chose a garter stitch - it is most suitable for the “Large Cell” pattern, thanks to the removed loops of which the sleeveless vest turned out to be dense and warm, but not at all stiff.

Well, now let's proceed directly to the description.

On knitting needles No. 3, cast on 62 loops and knit 5 rows, evenly adding 10 loops in the last row (72 loops on the knitting needles).

To do this, first close off 4 loops on both sides, then in every second row 1 time 2 loops 1 time 1 loop, on the knitting needles - 58 loops. Next, we continue knitting until the back length is 33 cm.

After this, to form the neckline, we close off the middle 18 loops, and then on both sides to round the neckline, we close off in every second row, first 3 loops, then 2, and then 1 loop (14 loops remain on the knitting needles for each shoulder).

We do not close the shoulder loops and move on to knitting the front part of the sleeveless vest.

Knitting front

Before we start knitting in the same way as the back, only in the “Large Cells” pattern after the 2nd row I started knitting from the 11th row, and not from the 3rd row, so that when making side seams the joining of the “pieces” of the cell would look prettier .

We perform the armhole as we did when knitting the back. 2 cm from the armhole line, we knit the 2 middle loops together and slip this loop onto a pin, after which we finish both sides of the V-neck separately.

In this case, in every second row we will close with inner edge 1 loop at a time until there are 14 loops left on the knitting needles. After that, we simply knit both sides to the height of the back. We also do not close the shoulder loops.

Connection between back and front

Fold the front and back of the sleeveless vest right side inward. On an additional knitting needle we re-slip, alternating one at a time, 14 back shoulder loops and 14 front shoulder loops, 28 loops on the knitting needle.

We close the shoulder loops, first knitting 2 loops together with the front one. We do the same with the loops of the second shoulder.

With this method of connecting the back and front, the shoulder lines are smooth and almost invisible.

Tying the neck of a sleeveless vest

Using stocking needles No. 3, we cast on 113 loops along the neckline (42 loops on the back side, 35 loops on the neckline, 1 loop on the pin) and begin knitting on the front side:

  • 1st round row -facial loops;
  • 2nd round row - purlwise, knitting along 2 loops purl together every other 5 loops and 3 loops together purl - in the toe of the V-neck;
  • 3rd round row - facial loops;
  • 4th round row - purl, as in the second circular row;
  • 5th round row - facial loops;
  • 6th round row - purl by purling only 3 loops of the cape together;
  • in the 7th round row - close the remaining ones that are not tight 78 loops.

Tying the armholes of a sleeveless vest

Along the armhole of one sleeve we cast on 60 stitches and knit 6 rows in garter stitch, while knitting 2 stitches together in the 6th row 3 times (at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of the row) so that the edging is made of garter stitch didn't stick out so much.

In the 7th row we close off all 57 loops. We also design the second armhole.

We sew the side seams, tucking the thread on the wrong side. A sleeveless vest for a child is knitted!

Now you know how to knit a sleeveless vest for your baby using the “Large Cell” pattern. As you can see, it's not difficult at all. 😉

And Ekaterina Shapovalova invites you to knit this sleeveless vest. Knitting it is also not at all difficult. The only thing I would do is make the armhole binding a little shorter.

Happy knitting and smooth stitches!
