The French laboratory La Roche-Posay is one of the most respected brands by me as a dermatologist. I can’t say that I’ve tried many of their products, but I confidently believe that they have absolutely cool products that really work, and not only on me. Over time, I have accumulated several La Roche-Posay products, and I decided to do a big review on them, show my favorites and relative outsiders.

I’ll start with the well-known line of products for problematic skin Effaclar. From this series I have a cleansing gel, lotion and a product for spot combating imperfections.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Astringgent Lotion Micro-Exfooliant
Efaklar Lotion for tightening pores with micro-exfoliating effect

Indications for use: Enlarged pores uneven surface skin. For oily problem skin, including sensitive skin.
Properties: EFFACLAR Lotion cleanses pores and reduces their size thanks to a combination of cleansing agents and the micro-exfoliating action of the active ingredient - microexfoliant Lipo-Hydroxy Acid.
Result: Pores are narrowed, the skin surface is smoother.
Apply to previously cleansed facial skin using a cotton pad. Does not require rinsing with water. When finished, gently pat your face dry with a napkin or clean cotton pad.

A slightly sticky alcohol-based lotion, it dries out inflammation quite well, has a slight astringent effect, due to which the pores should narrow, but this does not happen for me, but it is not particularly necessary. But the lotion works great with exfoliation - the skin feels very smooth. But I try not to get carried away with this lotion and use it periodically. For example, I use lotion only during the period of active rashes, and cancel it when everything is more or less normal :)

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+) Skin Anti-inperfections Correcteur

Indications for use: For oily problem skin prone to acne. Suitable for sensitive skin.
Properties: Reduces pronounced imperfections. Corrects and prevents the appearance of post-acne marks. Effective after 24 hours. Light cream-gel is ideal for oily sensitive skin - non-sticky, non-greasy, easily absorbed, moisturizes the skin and provides a mattifying effect.
Result: After 24 hours: redness decreases. After 8 days: pronounced imperfections are visibly reduced. After 4 weeks: -52% inflammatory elements. Pores are cleansed, skin is smoother, sebum secretion is normalized.
Recommendations for use: Apply morning and/or evening to cleansed face, avoiding the eye area. The product serves as an excellent base for makeup.
I also use this cream during periods of exacerbation of inflammation. The cream has a light and well-absorbed consistency and is applied in a very thin layer. If applied locally to inflammation, it will burn and burn for quite a long time, but if applied to large areas of the skin, then such an effect is practically not felt. Helps inflammation resolve faster and dries the skin a little. Again, if applied pointwise, it can cause peeling and subsequent skin renewal, which also contributes to rapid, although not the most outwardly neat, healing. Still a good working product for severely problematic skin!

Indications for use: For oily problem skin, including sensitive skin.
Properties: EFFACLAR Gel has a physiological pH level of 5.5. Does not contain soap, alcohol, dyes. No parabens. Based Thermal water La Roche-Posay.
Result: EFFACLAR Gel effectively cleanses the skin of impurities and excess sebum, leaving it clean and fresh.
Recommendations for use: Lather in palms with a small amount of water and apply to skin with light massaging movements. Rinse thoroughly with water.

I often recommend this washing gel in my cosmetology medical practice for those with oily or combination skin, porous, prone to clogging of pores and rough relief. Works great! Economical, foams well, does not dry out the skin at all, as it says PH 5.5, does not contain soap). It has a positive effect on reducing inflammation and, over time, reduces the number of small blackheads. I love him very much and recommend him to others!

This latest news in the series - a very pleasant night fluid that can even be applied to the skin of the eyelids! Delicate liquid texture, no fragrance, convenient dispenser. Comfortable to use, quickly absorbed. I can’t say that my skin is sensitive or allergic, so I can’t evaluate its direct effect. The cream itself is quite pleasant to the nose; in the morning the skin is soft and calm.

Indications for use: Dry, irritated skin of babies, children and adults. Can be used for cracks, abrasions, childhood diathesis, eczema, peeling, chapped lips, sunburn, burns mild degree and dry skin. Can be applied to the body, face and lips.
Properties:- Improves the skin restoration process [Madecassoside] + [Copper-Zinc-Manganese] - a complex with recognized antibacterial properties. - Soothes dry, irritated skin [Panthenol 5%] - Protects skin [Rich, nourishing texture] + [Barrier that prevents bacteria from entering the skin surface] Texture is non-greasy, non-sticky, does not leave white marks.
Result: Instant feeling of comfort: skin is restored and soothed.
Recommendations for use: Apply multi-restorative agent CICAPLAST BALM B5 twice a day to previously cleansed dry skin. Can be applied thickly for occlusion or thinly for immediate protection. Avoid the eye area.

My eternal assistant against wounds, irritations, and minor allergies. Excellent healing, softening and soothing. In general, as a dermatologist, I recommend it to many as a universal family cream for most everyday skin problems.
And the other day an improved formula of this cream was released, which also contains SPF 50! Ideal in the post-peeling period, as a means of recovery after injection procedures, as well as in summer period as a healing agent sunburn, when they have already appeared, but it is impossible to protect yourself from further exposure to the sun!

And the last remedy, which did not impress me at all, despite the excellent composition and high hopes.

Result: REDERMIC C10 provides intensive correction of signs of aging within 1 week of use: - The skin is smoother, visible wrinkles are reduced. - Skin elasticity is restored. - The complexion is evened out, the skin is more radiant.
Recommendations for use: Apply morning or evening to cleansed face and neck, avoiding the eye area. The product is easily absorbed and can be used either alone or in combination with daily care. Suitable for sensitive skin. Light, velvety and non-greasy texture. Non-comedogenic. Due to the content of the active component vitamin C in the formula, Redermic C10 tends to darken when exposed to air, which does not affect the effectiveness or tolerability of the product. After each use, thoroughly wipe the outside edge of the tube before capping it. Avoid contact with clothing immediately after application.

I still don’t need anti-aging care right now, but since the manufacturer claims that even for skin 20-30 years old this cream will only do good, that is, improve complexion and microrelief, then I agreed to test this cream.

The cream has a rather light but sticky consistency, a specific, but very light and faintly noticeable smell of “vitamins”. I applied it to my face at night, about an hour before bed, and it still stuck to the pillow. I felt unpleasant in the morning fat face, which I rather wanted to wash. While waiting for the effect, I became more and more angry with the cream - it was not comfortable, sticky, after a certain time, to my sadness, I discovered that it had stained the white pillowcase of the pillow a dirty yellow color. Sorry, redermic 10, but no result, no comfort, no joy from you, in general. I didn’t even bother giving it to my mom; she’ll take it even worse if the pillowcase was dyed yellow...
