Jacquard punched cards for children's blankets. Jacquard, punched cards

I am adding tapestry punched cards of single-font jacquard for knitting punched card machines to the collection of punched cards.

Let me remind you that Brother punch cards can also be used perfectly for knitting machines Silver. You just need to remember that Brother’s first row starts at 8 rows, and Silver’s is 2 rows lower.

That is, if in front of our eyes in the punched card device we see 1 row marked on the punched card (I marked it with a red line for Brother), in fact it begins to knit 7 rows lower for Brother punched cards or 5 rows lower for Silver Reed.

In other words, the selection of needles to form the pattern will take place out of sight, and only the 8th (or 5th for Silver Reed) row will be visible. It is called the first row.

Tapestry jacquard is a pattern across the entire canvas. A single-font jacquard will give broaches, which is not good. But if they are small (3-4 loops), then this will not affect the practicality of wearing them.

But the extraordinary variety of this kind of jacquards will make things unique, absolutely unique.

Photos are given in pairs: a punched card and a knitted sample. All pictures are enlarged to their natural size by clicking on them. Some punched cards are almost finished so that they can be placed on a blank punched card, traced around the holes, and punched with a punch. Others will have to be processed (increasing the life-size size of the punched card blank or manually transferring the marks for the holes onto it). Whichever is convenient for you.

Norwegian snowflakes punch card

Not quite tapestry, but what would you do without them? Norwegian patterns, and even in winter. Scandinavian or Norwegian snowflakes, or rather her punch card.

If desired, you can also make solid stylized snowflakes all over the canvas, you will get a snowflake tapestry.

And it can only be used as an ornament for finishing sweaters in the Norwegian style. Mittens, scarves, socks, jumpers and dresses - this pattern will suit everyone: both little ones and adults.

drawing

You dial 6 points in the RP, 2 points in the ZNP, * 12 points in the RP, 2 points. in ZNP*, repeat from * to * and at the end 6 p.RP. In this arrangement you knit 10-20 rubles.
Then you start transferring the loops. I do this with two 3-way deckers. 6 loops on the left are shifted by 1 needle to the right, the freed needle is removed into the ZNP.
8-13p. move 1 needle to the left, free. needle in the ZNP. And so on, you close the broaches - the needles that were in the ZNP, and exactly the same broaches are obtained in a checkerboard pattern.
By the way, the same pattern can be associated with any rapport. If you have a multi-needle decker (5,7 or 10 needles), then of course it is more convenient to transfer the loops with one decker.
Here is another pattern that looks amazing on light yarn. "Spanish pattern"
Can be done by hand decking. You need a simple and 5 ig. deckers. Rapport 34p.x24p. We repeat the first 4 rows 3 times, as well as rows 13-16. We transfer loops in every row.

1. Carriage with right side, we analyze the needles: 3 in the PNP, 7 needles in the ZNP; 3 in PNP, 7 in ZNP and so on across the entire width of the fanture. We use a loop catcher to pick up the loops. Where the needles are in the ZNP, tie with a loop catcher 5 air loops.

2. We put the right 3 needles in the working position and knit 6 rows on them, wrapping around the needle standing in the PNP on the left side (as when knitting heels and toes), then we put the next group of 3 needles standing on the left in the RP and knit 1 row from right to left.

We wrap the outermost needle on the left of the next group of 3 needles, and on the right we push the group of 3 needles into the PNP. We knit from left to right. We twist the outermost needle on the right, and so, twisting the needles on both sides, we knit 4 more rows.

And so on, until the last group of 3 needles. We knit 13 rows on them and now go from left to right, also twisting all groups of needles in order in turn.

We knit 30 such moves from right to left and back. We close all the loops with a loop catcher, knitting 5 air loops between groups of 3 needles. Attach brushes to each vertical path.
You can also knit a scarf, but then we put forward only 10 groups (on a stole it turns out 20) of 3 needles, the length is as desired.
You can make the analysis completely different. When you take 3 x 3 needles apart, you get a fairly dense pattern. You can knit a jumper with it. Jersey is also called interlock. It is not difficult to knit, but it takes a long time in principle on any 2-font machine, but if you have a punched card (computer) and a jacquard carriage, it is very easy to knit.
In this case, the fabric turns out to be dense and not very stretchy, but narrower than with regular knitting.
In order to knit jersey, you need to knit the needles on both needle beds in a checkerboard pattern.
To do this, you can set the idle speed on both fonturs and manually use a selected comb to push the needles on both needle beds in a checkerboard pattern to the front rail in the PNP. next We put out other needles in a row.

Punch cards or a computer make our life a lot easier.
We fill a 1x1 punched card with a shift or program the drawing into the computer. cars. If there is a jacquard carriage with a pique function, then simply insert a punched card, set the idle speed in both directions (on the carriage S), we put such a number of needles into work on both needle beds that the needles are knitted in a checkerboard pattern (the number of needles on the PI should be even) and knit.
If there is no jacquard carriage, then we knit using a punched card, as I already wrote, but on the PI we set the idle speed in both directions, and the needles will have to be pulled out manually.
IN general scheme needle extension when knitting JERSEY:
1ST ROW ZI: I.I.I.I.I.I.I.I.
PI: .I.I.I.I.I.I.I.I

2ND ROW Z: .I.I.I.I.I.I.I.I
PI: I.I.I.I.I.I.I.I.
I - needle in position C or D (Silver), D or E (Brother). Knits.
. - needle in position B (does not knit)

By the way, using the same punched card you can knit “pockmarked” jacquard, slip, and even a very beautiful mesh. carriage. DOUBLE-FLOOR JACARD If you have yarn from 32/2 bobbins (or “Lydia” Semyonovskaya), then take yarn of 2 colors in 2 plies. This is the best option. But 400-600m/100g is also normal.
We take punched cards for a 2-font jacquard. You can try knitting without a 4-color pattern, but then during the knitting process you will see how it helps you easily change colors. Unfortunately, in the main set of punched cards I did not find a punched card for a 2-font jacquard. But There is always a way out! I just took s/c No. 2 from the main kit for a 1-stage machine (you will see in the photo) and start knit from the 2nd row (this applies only to this p/k).
Now about the main thing.
The easiest way to knit:
We knit a 1x1 or 2x2 elastic band or a placket in circular knitting.
After the elastic band, we put all the needles on both fonts to work and knit the connecting row (carriage on the left).
We don’t change anything on the additional carriage (front needle bed), everything is working.

We put a p/c (punched card). We put the side levers to work with p/c. THE DENSITIES ON THE CARRIAGES ARE ABOUT THE SAME 4/4 or 5/5. We knit 1 row with the main color. (Carriage on the right).

We place the weave disc on the S-Slip.
We knit 1 row. CHANGE THE COLOR. To do this, remove the main thread from the carriage and leave it in 4 colors. or simply take it to the edge of the font. Thread the finishing thread into the thread guide and secure the end in any convenient way. The thread should go between the needle beds. We insert it into the carriage.

We knit 2 rows. CHANGE THE COLOR.
We continue knitting, changing color every 2 rows.
AS A RESULT, ON THE FRONT SIDE ONLY LOOPES WILL BE KNITTED ACCORDING TO THE DRAWING, AND ON THE WORLD SIDE. ALL NEEDLES 2 ROWS OF EACH COLOR.
