What can you use to make a Snow Maiden costume? How to sew a Snow Maiden costume: step-by-step instructions

Elena Kozlova

Dear colleagues, I would like to present to your attention master class on making a Snow Maiden costume. There are a lot of beautiful things in the stores New Year's outfits, but unfortunately they do not always fit well on the figure. Before starting work, my colleagues and I looked at what the local industry had to offer. We liked it costume"Gzhel" companies "Batik". I took measurements of the teachers who will play this role and got to work.

Costume consists of a jacket with a peplum and long skirt. For the top suit based on a size 48 jacket pattern from a magazine "Burda".

For you will need a suit: three meters of brocade blue, turquoise or white, one meter of faux fur with short pile, ten meters of decorative silver braid, zipper lock sixty centimeters long, elastic tape, threads in the color of the fabric.

We translate the patterns from the magazine and start cutting out the parts brocade suit. We pin the patterns, trace them, cut them out taking into account the seam allowances.

Then we cut out the fur facing of the peplum, sleeve cuffs and front placket.

We pin the fur strip to the middle part of the shower warmer, sew it on and trim the open edges of the fur with decorative braid.

We sweep away all the details of the shower warmer, do a fitting, eliminate the shortcomings of the pattern, sew and process the seams.

Let's move on to the basque. Place the pieces right sides facing each other.

We baste, stitch, turn and iron the details. We close the open edge of the fur with braid. We lay a line at a distance of one centimeter from the edge and tighten the peplum.

We sew the finished parts to the bodice and make a securing stitch.

We sew the stand pieces together and sew them to the bodice.

Now you can sew in a zipper lock.

Let's move on to the sleeves. Place the pieces right sides facing each other.

We sew, process the seams and lay a line at a distance of one centimeter from the edge and pull it together to form the sleeve cap.

We sew them to the product. The shower warmer is ready!

Let's move on to the skirt. From the remaining material we cut out the details of the skirt. Size of each details: height - 1 meter and width - 1.5 meters. The bottom of the skirt is trimmed with fur 20 centimeters wide and braid.

Fold the top 3 centimeters, sew and insert an elastic band. The skirt is ready.

You can try it on costume!

Thank you for your attention.

I bring to your attention a current idea for making a costume for Baba Yaga's hut. Required material for the hut: Packaging cardboard.

Father Frost comes to us with his granddaughter, Snegurochka. Even if they don’t enter the house, they will certainly appear on TV screens. Or even someone in the family or one of your friends will decide to dress up for the carnival in a Snow Maiden costume. Many representatives of the fair sex like it. After all, a girl or even a mature lady who wears a Snow Maiden costume looks like a queen - it is so elegant and luxurious. Indeed, a well-executed outfit can make its owner delightfully charming, downright charming.

Options for outfits for the granddaughter of Santa Claus

There are several types of Snow Maiden robes. These are the options:

  • Snow Maiden costume made of a long, floor-length fur coat with a hat and fur trim;
  • a short sexy fur coat with a hat or kokoshnik trimmed with fur;
  • floor-length dress with lace inserts, transparent sleeves and kokoshnik.

Features of the Snow Maiden's masquerade attire

The main elements in this outfit are sparkles, rhinestones, fur, and lace. Often the Snow Maiden costume includes:

  • high collars trimmed with beads, beads, pearls, rhinestones and lace;
  • capes with fur trim;
  • mittens with embroidery and fur;
  • couplings;
  • transparent raincoats or long capes (for dresses).

Cape for outfit

By the way, the ability to sew this little thing will be useful not only for making the Snow Maiden’s New Year’s costume. A winter and demi-season coat with a cape looks great. And some styles of dresses require this detail, either made separately or sewn into the outfit.

There are several options for sewing a cape. It can be done:

  • circular “sun”, with a slit in the front and neckline;
  • “half sun”, from a circle with a cut out segment;
  • with oblique shoulder seams;
  • completely repeating the shape of the shoulders with arms down.

Drapes are made from various materials. Lace, transparent materials, knitwear, fur, and the main fabric of the outfit are used for sewing. When making a Snow Maiden costume for a girl, it is best to use a cape pattern with oblique shoulder seams. It is recommended to sew it from fur coat fabric and trim it with fur.

Pattern for a cape

If you wish, you can make a simply luxurious Snow Maiden costume with your own hands. The photo shows how great the little girl looks in this elegant outfit. Probably, the drape plays a huge role in the attire - a retro accessory that came to us from the past.

Making a pattern with beveled shoulder seams is quite simple if you carefully examine the drawing. You need to make two patterns: for the front and the back.

The back half is cut out by folding the fabric in half and placing the pattern with the vertical side to the fold of the material. The front consists of two parts. It is slightly wider than the back, as a few centimeters are given for the design of the fastener or hem. You should also remember that the front is always a little wider than the back of the robe.

Sewing gloves for the Snow Maiden's outfit

Everyone remembers that, although it is warm inside the festive room, it is winter outside. And the granddaughter of Santa Claus herself came to us from the northern city. Therefore, the Snow Maiden’s New Year’s costume is unthinkable without such an attribute as mittens.

Making a pattern for mittens is easy. You just need to place your palm with folded fingers on the paper and trace it along the contour. When cutting, you should remember about the seams and that the palm was outlined without taking into account the volume of the hand. Therefore, you need to make about two centimeters allowances along the entire contour.

Four parts are cut out. Two parts are cut “out”, and a couple are cut inside out. Sew the mittens by folding the patterns with the right sides facing inward. Then the blanks are turned inside out and trimmed with fur.

Making a hat for the Snow Maiden and Father Frost

The hats of both characters are sewn identically. The base of the cap is made of four “irons” - this is how tailors jokingly call the type of this pattern. And it really does resemble the sole of an ironing tool.

The “iron” pattern is prepared according to the drawing, where the lower base of the part is equal to a quarter of the volume of the head. The height of the figure is equal to half the size of the head, taken between the middles of the ears through the crown.

In addition to the base of the cap, you need to prepare a lapel - a strip for the trim of any width and length equal to the volume of the head. You can take a measurement of head volume by measuring the circumference of the head through the middle of the ears with a centimeter.

Wide sleeves in the Snow Maiden outfit

Airiness and a certain ephemerality are given to this character by flying, flowing fabrics and the lush cut of the robe. For example, the Snow Maiden costume, the photo of which is presented here, has luxurious wide sleeves with a wavy edge trimmed with fur. This creates a fabulous effect - as if a huge strange bird flew to a holiday from a childhood fairy tale.

These sleeves are not that difficult to cut. It is enough to take a pattern of a regular sleeve and spread the seam lines to the sides as far as the width of the fabric allows. You can also cut out any edge line. Only hemming an uneven sleeve will now be more difficult to do than is done with a regular cut. You will need to use either hem or bias tape.

Fitted fur coat, floor length

This is the most common Snow Maiden costume. The photo shows how elegant this character looks in an outfit that highlights the charm of a woman's figure.

Such a fur coat is usually sewn from satin fabric. Lining silk will also work. The color of the material is best to choose either white or blue. Although other shades of blue would be quite appropriate here.

The pattern for the Snow Maiden's costume is based on the principle of a fitted long robe dress. You can also use clothes from your wardrobe that have been lying around unclaimed for a long time. You will need to remove the parts template from it. Most often, dressmakers simply rip out an old outfit at the seams, smooth out the details with an iron - that’s it ready-made patterns for an outfit.

Short fur coat, straight silhouette (cut)

You can make a Snow Maiden costume for a girl without ripping out old dresses. In order to cut a short straight fur coat, you should build a simple pattern. This option is suitable for those who need to make a Snow Maiden costume with their own hands in an extremely short time.

Of course, it is better for novice craftsmen to try to draw patterns on paper, then cut a thing from old sheets, which they decided to use on rags, sweep and try on - check the correctness of the pattern. But experienced tailors can cut directly onto the fabric.

Draw a rectangle with dry soap or chalk. Its length should be equal to twice the length of the product, since the shoulder seams will not be sewn down. The transverse fold line of the pattern will serve as their role.

The width of the rectangle should be equal to the width of the fur coat. The front piece will need to be cut in half lengthwise just to the center point (where the diagonals intersect). This is where the neckline is made. It is deeper in the front than in the back.

The sleeves are also shaped like rectangles. The fold of the fabric runs lengthwise.

Short fur coat, straight silhouette (tailoring)

It is recommended to first sew the cut, but not stitched, sleeves to the main rectangle. The blank will resemble a cross or a helicopter (without the tail). After this you can grind side seams fur coats with seams in the sleeves. The finishing is done either with fur or white fleecy fabric. Sometimes it is also made from satin. You can use pompoms, tinsel, large fabric-covered buttons, a sash or a wide belt.

Sun-flare fur coat with round yoke

You can sew such a Snow Maiden costume with your own hands quite quickly. The photo demonstrates how elegant, elegant and even luxurious it can turn out.

For the yoke, cut out a circle with a radius equal to the height of the chest. The front yoke has a slit. In the center you need to make a neck of any size.

The lower part is also cut in the shape of a circle. Its radius is equal to the length of the product minus the radius of the yoke. In the middle of the pattern there is a concentric circle, the circumference of which is equal to the girth of the body in the place where the yoke will be connected to the bottom of the outfit. You can calculate the radius of the inner circle using the formula: half the length of the body circumference divided by 3.14.

The yoke is trimmed with fur and embroidered. The skirt (lower part) is sewn from below to the yoke so that the upper part overlaps.

Not a flat hem, but a curly one, looks very beautiful. Fluffy pom-poms made of fur sewn to the bottom of the robe look simply gorgeous.

The sleeves of this outfit can be of any style, at the request of the master.

Kokoshnik for the Snow Maiden

You can replace the hat with a beautiful kokoshnik. It is manufactured by the most different materials. The simplest ones are made from cardboard and decorated with glitter, tinsel, cotton wool, foil figures, and beads.

You can make a kokoshnik frame from wire, stretch white or blue lace over it and embroider it with silver threads, beads, and tinsel. Nylon, chiffon or other transparent fabric would be appropriate here.

When preparing for the New Year holidays, don’t forget about dressing up for yourself: what about the Snow Maiden’s look? Find out more about the DIY adult suit pattern and sewing details.

New Year- this is the time of bright outfits and unusual images. Moreover, costumes can be made not only for children, but also for adults.

If you want to look spectacular this holiday, choose the Snow Maiden outfit. It is easy to sew at home, and you can use any available materials for decoration.

The easiest way is to create an outfit using a pattern for an adult Snow Maiden costume with your own hands.

Let's find out how to do this.

Snow Maiden costume for adults, photo

Pattern and start of work

To sew an adult Snow Maiden costume, you need to start by preparing the materials. For the outfit, fabric in blue, dark blue, white, grey, beige, silver and other “winter” shades is suitable. Immediately calculate the parameters of the suit: skirt length, sleeve sizes, waist circumference.

If you plan to create a cape, calculate how much fabric you will need based on your height. Do not forget that the suit will be hemmed, so allocate a few more centimeters for the seams.

Advice: think about the concept of the costume right away: not everyone will be comfortable spending the whole evening in a warm themed coat, but long dress May interfere with dancing. Perhaps a skirt and blouse will be the best option.

Now you can start working on the pattern for an adult Snow Maiden costume.

We will tell you what materials are needed to create a suit of standard sizes:

  • about 3 meters of fabric with a width of one and a half meters;
  • 60 centimeters of decorative fur;
  • half-meter hidden zipper;
  • threads of a suitable shade and needles;
  • overlock;
  • pins, scissors and chalk to make marks on the fabric.

DIY Snow Maiden costume for adults, photo

Master class on Snow Maiden costume patterns for adults start with costume design. You can take a long dress or coat as a basis: create a blank from paper or cardboard in their image.

You can use ready-made diagrams, correctly designing the reliefs on the shelf and back and adding about 10 cm of expansion along the lower seams.

Pattern for an adult Snow Maiden costume

Before cutting the fabric, make sure that you have calculated all the dimensions correctly. It is better to lay the material on a flat surface with the front side facing inward.

In most cases, the Snow Maiden's outfit is created with puffy puffed sleeves. Therefore, you will have to increase the sleeve cap. A copy of the pattern is made on paper using the upper part of the sleeves.

Marks are made along the edge at a distance of approximately 2 cm on both sides from the center. From the marks to the bottom, lines are drawn that will intersect the center of the sleeve and a horizontal mark that shows the height of the rim.

New Year costume Snow Maiden adult, photo

Now you need to make cuts along these marks, not bringing them about 2 mm to the intersecting lines. Next, a horizontal line is cut with the same margin. Place the pattern on the textile material and spread the pellet, observing the required parameters.

Outline the workpiece, not forgetting to expand the sleeve in the lower zone.

Allowances of 1.5 cm are applied along the edge, 2 cm at the seams of the sleeves, and 1 cm at the bottom.

Next stage - connection of constituent elements. Sew the reliefs along the back and front, make a middle seam, taking into account the need to sew in a hidden zipper. Overcast the reliefs, connecting the allowances directed towards the center. The middle and side seams must be pressed open (turning the seam allowances in different directions). Now use the iron and smooth out the reliefs.

Flatten the suit, align the side seams and reliefs, edge sections, shoulder and throat areas. Use pins to secure. Deepen the neckline a couple of centimeters (it is assumed that you will create a stand-up collar).

Once you are sure that all parts of the suit are connected correctly, you can remove the pins, then sew the shoulder seams and iron them on the back side.

Decor of the Snow Maiden's outfit

The next stage is decorating the costume. Start by decorating the edges of the fabric: the best option in the case of the described Snow Maiden costume pattern for an adult would be light fur. Take a fur strip with a width of 10 cm. The length of the material should correspond to the length of the bottom of the skirt or dress.

The fur is basted to the fabric so that its front area is aligned with the back of the outfit.

Advice: When using several pieces of fur, connect the strips end-to-end in the direction of the pile.

After manual processing, make another seam on sewing machine. At this stage you should be extremely careful so that the fur does not come out. In those areas where it peeks out, use scissors, with which you can return the fur back into place.

Making sure that the adult's fur trim carnival costume The Snow Maidens are fine, you can remove the hand-basted threads. Now you can secure the fur with pins and baste its upper part to the fabric (while leaving about 1-2 mm free).

Fur can also be used to create a stripe down the center of the suit. It will be 8-10 cm wide. Calculate the length of the strip, taking into account the distance between the edge of the neckline and the end of the lower decorative fur.

Place the strip so that the pile faces down, secure with pins, make a hand seam, make sure the strip is evenly positioned, and go over the fur with a sewing machine. After this, the fur is removed hand stitches, and the material itself is combed.

Sleeve and collar design

The sleeves created by making the adult Snow Maiden costume with your own hands must be overcast. To do this, make a couple of parallel lines along the edges with contrasting threads. After this, tighten the sleeve to create an even gather. Then the sleeve will take the shape of a flashlight.

The lower part of the sleeve is processed similarly to the bottom of the entire suit. That is, you can simply overcast the fabric on a machine or attach fur stripes in this part as well. Now, when the sleeves are completely ready, baste and sew them into the armholes of the outfit. Overcast the cut and tie the threads into a knot at the end.

Having finished with the sleeves, we proceed to the collar. Two 12-centimeter parts with a length equal to half the neck are cut out of fur. A 10-centimeter pattern with a similar length is made from the fabric.

On all elements, 1-centimeter allowances are made for cuts. And for a figured design, the top cut is lowered.

After such preparation, all that remains is to sew the fur and fabric parts along the concave media. Next, the wide ends are turned with a 1-centimeter bend in the fur. The rack elements turn outward.

The collar must be inserted into the neck of the suit - and sewn on, making a 7 mm cut. After this, the seam is made on a sewing machine.

Completing the costume

The final stage of sewing the Snow Maiden costume pattern for an adult is sewing on the auxiliary elements and decor. A hidden zipper must be sewn into the middle seam. Its edge should be placed on the collar and covered with fur.

As for the decor, it involves sewing beads, sequins, beads, decorative snowflakes made of felt or thick fabric and other elements onto the fabric. If you initially chose a patterned material, you can limit yourself to decorating the edges of the skirt and sleeves.

Beads and pearls can be sewn onto fur elements. We also advise you to think about a bright belt or a wide ribbon that will highlight the waist area.

Kokoshnik on the head

Often additional element The Snow Maiden's adult New Year's costume includes a kokoshnik made with her own hands. It can also be made from available materials. Prepare thick cardboard that will be used for the figured base, fabric for decoration, beads, lace and beads for decoration, as well as glue gun, with which you can secure all these elements.

The blank is made of paper. Immediately measure the parameters of the kokoshnik: it should not be too large (otherwise such a headdress will fall), and should also follow the outline of the head in the lower part. The stencil shape is repeated on cardboard.

After this, two elements are cut out of the fabric (for the front and back sides of the headdress). One of the elements should have a larger width (about one and a half centimeters), as it will bend.

Use a glue gun to glue the fabric to the cardboard. On the second side, fasten another textile fragment in the same way. Glue the allowances on the other side, bending them in accordance with the shape of the base of the kokoshnik.

Now start decorating. You can attach lace, light fur, rain or ribbons to the edges. Glue decorative snowflakes, beads and other prepared accessories in the center. You can weave with beads that will hang freely.

In order for such a headdress to hold securely, use wide ribbons or ropes. An elastic band will also work, but you need to think about which side it will hold the kokoshnik on.

Attach the ribbons to the lower sides of the kokoshnik - and you can try on the headdress.

Mittens and hat

A modern DIY Snow Maiden costume for adults is often complemented by mittens and a hat. If the concept of the outfit involves the use of thick fabric, leave it for these elements. To create mittens you will need a different fabric for the lining.

The sewing pattern is very simple to draw: just put your hand on the paper and trace it, capturing the wrist area. According to the created pattern, four identical parts are cut out (add to the borders the width that will go to internal seams). Fragments for lining mittens are prepared in a similar way.

Sewing work must be done carefully, so start by sewing on the lining to each of the four constituent elements. Now sew them together, inside out, and turn the mittens inside out. To prevent them from falling off your hand, put an elastic band on the wrong side. The final stage – decorating fabric with fur(on the frill), beads and thematic embroidery.

We learned how to sew a Snow Maiden costume for adults, but how to make a hat that will harmonize with this image? It is made from four wedges or a solid strip of fabric that matches the color of the outfit.

When using a solid strip, sew four darts: this will make the headpiece taper towards the top edge. Fur is sewn at the bottom and a pompom at the top.

Don't forget about decorative elements to make the hat even brighter and more elegant.

Sewing an adult Snow Maiden costume using a pattern with your own hands is not as difficult as it seems at first glance. But this process requires diligence and accuracy.

Watch the video and photos of Snow Maiden costumes for adults - and perhaps you will have your own bright ideas in addition to the described master class.

Using this pattern you can sew a fairy-tale Snow Maiden costume or a regular flared coat. The increases in the pattern are designed specifically for coats.

The original model of the Snow Maiden's coat has a fitted silhouette. The details of the shelf and back are flared towards the bottom and add splendor. A neat stand-up collar fits perfectly with this model and perfectly replaces a scarf. If desired, decorative trim on the sleeves, collar and sides can be done in different shades in combination with the main fabric. Depending on the texture of the fabric, the model can be made with lining, insulation or without it.

Pattern measurements Selected sizes:

Difficulty: medium

Cut:
. the central part of the back - 1 child with a bend;
. the central part of the front with a one-piece edging - 2 children;
. front side - 2 children;
. back flank - 2 children;
. front part of the sleeve - 2 parts;

When cutting parts, it is necessary to leave allowances for seams and cuts - 1.5 cm, for hems of the bottom and sleeves - 4 cm. You also need to make appropriate markings on the parts for correct alignment.
If the model will have a lining, then cut out the lining details with allowances for seams and hem of the bottom - 1.5 cm.
Stages of work:
1. Iron the interlining to the details of the back neckline, and also glue the details of the collar and hem.
2. Fold the side of the front right side to the front side of the central part of the front and sew relief seams.
3. Iron the sections to the middle of the front part and process them using an overlocker, if the model is without lining.
4. Fold the side of the back and the central part of the back with the right sides inward and sew the seams. Iron the cuts onto the back and finish.
5. Sew side and shoulder seams. Iron the sections onto the central part of the back.
6. Sew the stand-up collar cleanly along the short front and top edges. Taking together open bottom cuts insert the collar into the neck from the reference mark.
7. Turn the one-piece selvedges right side out, stitch the back neck facing to the selvedges with the right side facing inward.
8. Sew the hems and facings to the neckline, grabbing the collar. Cut seam allowances close to the stitching, turn the hems and facings to the wrong side. Iron the edges of the sides. Sew the hem to the hem of the bottom.
9. If desired, the sides, collar and bottom of the coat can be trimmed with decorative fabric.
10. Fold the front and back parts of the sleeve with the right sides inward and sew the seams. Iron the hem allowances at the bottom of the sleeves to the wrong side and sew them on by hand or process them together with decorative trim.
11. Sew the sleeves into the armholes, slightly fitting along the edges.
12. Assemble the parts from the lining and sew in the sleeves. Sew the lining to the inner edges of the hems and facings, leaving an open area at the bottom for turning the finished product inside out.
13. Fold the lining and hand sew the open area and the bottom of the sleeves to the hems.

Good day everyone, dear Babies!
New Years is soon! The most long-awaited holiday of the year. Let's prepare our little ones for the New Year's ball.

Snow Maiden dress for girls (about 6 months)
I’m not a master of cutting and sewing (I prefer to knit), but I can make something... So I decided to sew it for my daughter New Year's holiday costume, I thought for a long time about what it would be and settled on the Snow Maiden costume. I’ll say right away that I don’t particularly know how to sew (I didn’t study anywhere - everything was done using the PUCK method). But I still think that my experience will be useful and will help someone... And if at least one person likes it, then it’s not in vain that I started all this. According to my description, it will be possible to make a pattern for a dress even for a person who has decided to do this for the first time! I SEWED THE DRESS FROM CURTAIN FABRIC (there was a piece left about 1 m x 1.5 m and it was enough for the head), I decorated it with what I had in stock at home. So let's get started...
Bodice for dress

Size 22 (we will be almost 6 months old by NG, weight - about 8 kg (I think plus 500 grams by NG, height - 64cm (plus 1-2 cm by NG)

Constructing a pattern drawing

To create a pattern drawing, the following measurements are required:
Height……………………………………………………… 64cm

Length of bra to waist (Dis)…………. 20cm (15cm) later I’ll write what 15cm is for)
Neck semicircle (Posh)……………….12cm

Chest semicircle (POg)……………..22cm (+2=24)

For a loose fit, 2-4 cm is added to the chest semicircumference measurement and all further calculations are based on this value:

22 + 2 = 24 cm.

Draw a right angle with the vertex at point P (I immediately apologize for the quality of the photos, because I took pictures while my daughter was sleeping and there was dim light in the room, and there was no time at any other time!)

Bra length. From point P, we put down the taken measurement (20 cm) or the length of the bodice obtained by calculation (1/5 of the height plus 8 cm), and put the point T.

Armhole depth. From point P downwards we set aside 1/3 POg plus 4.5 cm and set point G: RG = 24:3 + 4.5 = 12.5 cm.

From points G and T to the left we draw horizontal lines of the chest and waist.

Bodice width. From point G to the left we put POg with an increase of 2 cm for a loose fit and set point GG1 = 22+2=24 cm.

Through point G1 we draw a vertical line of arbitrary length, at its intersection with the waist line we place point T1.

Width of back, armhole and front. We divide line GG1 into three equal parts and put points G2 and G

From point G2 we restore the perpendicular and the point of intersection of it with a horizontal line drawn from point P to the left, denoted by P.

Side line. We divide the distance G2G3 in half and designate the middle as point G4.

From point G4 we lower the perpendicular to the point where it intersects with the horizontal line T T1 and denote T2.

Sprout width. From point P to the left we set aside 1/3 POsh plus 2 cm and place point P1:

PP1 = 12:3 + 2 = 6 cm.

Sprout depth. From point P we put 5 cm down and put point P2.

We connect points P1 and P2 with a concave curve.

Shoulder width. We connect points P1 and P1 with a straight line and, extending it by 2 cm, place point P2.

From point G2 along the bisector of the angle, set aside 2 cm and place point O. To design the back armhole, connect points P2, O and G4 with a concave line.

Front height. From point G1 upward we set aside a value equal to the depth of the armhole plus 2 cm, and set point P3: G1 P3 = 12.5 + 2 = 14.5 cm.

From point P3 to the right we draw a horizontal line and the point of intersection of it with the perpendicular restored from point G3 is designated P3.

Neck width. From point P3 to the right we set aside 1/3 POsh plus 2cm and place point P4:

Р3Р4 = 12: 3 + 2 = 6cm.

Neck depth. From point P3 downwards we set aside 1/3 POsh plus 5 cm and place point P5:

Р3Р5 = 12: 3 + 5 = 9 cm (you can do a little less, for example 8 cm, because my neckline turned out to be too big)

We connect points P4 and P5 with a straight line. We divide the P4P5 line in half and mark the middle with point O1. From point O1 at a right angle we set aside 1.5 cm and place point O2.

We connect points P4, O2 and P5 with a concave curve.

Clasp. From points P2 and T to the right at right angles we set aside 6 cm and put points O4 and O5, which we connect with a straight line. From point O4 we set aside 1 cm upward and place point O6. We connect points O6 and P2.

Shoulder tilt. From point P3 we put 1 cm down and put point P4.

Front shoulder width. Connect points P4 and P4 with a straight line and, continuing by 2 cm, place point P5. From point G3 along the bisector of the angle we set aside 2 cm and place point O3. To design the front armhole, connect points P5, O3 and G4 with a concave curve.

Or here’s a pattern from a book (you can trace all the points using this drawing and everything will be clear and understandable)

Using this drawing you can make a pattern for a bra for children school age- quote from the book!

Construction of a sleeve pattern drawing.

The width of the upper part of the sleeve. From point G to the left, set aside one and a half width of the armhole of the dress (armhole width = 1/4POg) plus 4 cm (for all sizes) and set point G1: GG1 = 5.5 + 2.25 + 4 = 12.25 (I take 12.5 cm).

The width of the lower part of the sleeve. From point G1 to the left, set aside the width of the dress’s armhole plus 1 cm and set point G2: G2 = 5.5 + 1 = 6 cm.

The width of the front roll. From point G to the right, set aside 5 cm (for all sizes) and set point G3.

From points G2 and G3 we lower the perpendiculars and the points of intersection of them with the bottom line are designated as H1 and H2, and the point of intersection with the elbow line is designated as L1.

Notch. From point L1 to the left, set aside 1 cm (for all sizes) and place point L2. We connect points G3, L2 and H2 with straight lines.

Distance to the middle of the rim. From point G to the left, set aside the width of the dress’s armhole (5.5 cm) and place point G4. From point G4 we restore the perpendicular and the point of intersection of it with the horizontal line drawn from point A, denoted by P.

Auxiliary point. From point G4 upward we set aside 2.5 cm (3.5 for all large sizes) and set point O1. We connect points O and O1 with a straight line and continue it until it intersects with the perpendicular line restored from point G1. We denote the intersection point as O2.

From point P to the right, set aside 1.5 cm (for all sizes) and place point P1.

We connect points P and O2, as well as P1 and O with straight lines. We divide straight lines PO2 and P1O in half and put 0.5 cm perpendicularly from the middle and put points O6 and O5.

For large sizes, we do it differently: from point P1 down along the line P1O we set aside 4.5 cm (for all sizes) and put point O4. From points O3 and O4 at right angles we set aside 1.25 cm for the convexity of the edge and place points O5 and O6.

To design the okat, we connect points G2, O8, O2, O6, P, P1, O5, O, O7 and G3 with a smooth curve. I did not set points O8 and O 7, because so everything went fine. But for large sizes I will describe how to set them.

From point G along the angle bisector we set aside 2 cm and place point O7, and from point G1 we set aside 3 cm and place point O8.

We continue building the sleeve...

From point G1 to the right we set aside 2.5 cm (for all sizes) and put point G5, from which we lower the perpendicular to the intersection with the line H1H2 and mark the intersection point as H3. From point H3 we set aside 2 cm downwards (2.5 cm for large sizes) and set point H4 to ensure free movement of the arm when bending. To design the bottom of the sleeve, connect points H1, H4, H and H2 with a curve.

I also wanted to gather the sleeve at the bottom when sewing, but when I started sewing, I decided to leave the flared sleeve.

For the bottom of the dress I used a sun skirt according to the pattern in the photo.

Skirt length – 25 cm

The semicircle of the waist took the total length of the bottom of the bodice to the dress (Sweat) - 29 cm.

We draw a horizontal line of arbitrary length, divide it in half and mark the middle with point A (see figure)

Waist length. From the point to the right, left and down we put aside 1/3 Pot minus 1 cm and put points T, T1 AND T2. Next, we connect them with a semicircle.

Skirt length. From points T, T1 AND T2 we set aside 25 cm and put points H, H1 AND H2, WHICH WE ALSO CONNECT A SEMI CIRCLE.

Here are all the resulting patterns (there are also patterns for slippers and hats in the photo):

And for the lining (of thinner fabric)

I also sewed a hat and slippers for the costume. I didn’t do a master class on slippers, because... There are clear ones on the Internet. And the hat was sewn from 4 wedges (there are cut out patterns in the photo) the hat is three-layer: main fabric, padding polyester and lining.

I won’t show you how I sewed all the details together, because... I don’t do this according to the sewing rules, but as it’s convenient for me, and my machine went haywire, so I had to do some of the work by hand. pardon

I sewed, processed and decorated everything and this is what came out in the end:

1. The whole set: dress, hat and dance3 shoes

The hat is decorated with a frill, silver ribbon, tinsel and beads
