Sew the chevron with inward stitches along the very contour, ensuring it fits snugly to the shape.

How to sew on a Cossack chevron?

The revival of the Cossacks has been actively carried out throughout the country over the past five years. We'll tell you how to properly sew chevrons onto a Cossack uniform.

The Cossack uniform is more free in the use of insignia. Often, Cossacks make do with one single chevron, indicating their membership in a specific Cossack army. This chevron is worn on the left sleeve, 8 cm below the shoulder seam. Above it is worn an arced patch with the decoding of the name of the army.

If your Cossack army is large and has several units, you can sew a common chevron on the left shoulder, and a private one on the right.

Some Cossacks use chevrons. They are worn on the right or left sleeve, below the main chevron, with an angle down. Such a chevron, made in the colors of the tricolor, indicates belonging to the Russian Cossacks. Chevrons of other colors may be traditional symbols of a particular army.

A patch with the blood type is sometimes worn on the field uniform.

Each private security company (PSC) has its own charter, which contains basic information about the procedure and conditions for the functioning of the company. In addition, it can regulate the requirements for employee uniforms and the location of chevrons and stripes on it. If the charter does not contain this information, you should use the standard recommendations described below.

The largest chevron is attached to the back of the jacket, usually its length is 20-30 cm. The patch with the inscription is located at the level of the shoulder blades, and with the image - in the center of the back.
Chevrons with the designation of a particular private security company are sewn onto the left sleeve (at a distance of 8-10 cm from the shoulder seam), and stripes are sewn onto the right sleeve general, for example, emblems with symbols of Russian security.
A chevron with the blood type is sewn onto the right breast pocket of the jacket. On the left side there is usually a badge with the employee’s name and surname or the inscription “security”.
Sometimes the headdresses have the emblem of the enterprise, the inscription “security” or the “security” patch. It would be correct to place them in the front center of the cap or hat.

We hope you found this article helpful. We remind you that the rules for the placement of chevrons are advisory in nature. Before attaching, you should first familiarize yourself with the charter of a particular private security company.

Considering that some provisions and questions regarding private and investigative (detective) activities require additions and clarifications, members of the Government made appropriate changes on August 14, 1992. I propose to discuss with the readers of my blog the main nuances of the changes, as well as the relevance of the adjustments made.

What provisions were planned for approval?

First of all, I want to point out the list of those points that needed to be planned for clarification and modification. It was necessary to approve those types of objects that should not be subject to security activities. In addition, it was planned to approve a list of types of weapons or special means permitted to private security to protect entrusted property, one’s own life and health.

Separate paragraphs of this regulatory act clarify various rules governing the actions, behavior, and rights of employees in the immediate workplace. Such rules include rules for issuing certificates for private security guards, rules for training private security officers or preparing a conclusion on the inadmissibility of specific individuals to work.

I also want to emphasize to my readers that the amended rules determine the wearing of uniforms, the acquisition, storage, and carrying of firearms, ammunition for them, and special equipment.

  1. Worthy appearance security guard provides the moral right to self-respect, helps strengthen citizens' trust in security companies, and influences people's behavior and actions.
  2. A security guard at a private enterprise should: wear uniform in accordance with established requirements, clean and neat, well fitted and ironed; maintain an exemplary appearance that commands respect from colleagues and citizens; demonstrate drill bearing, stand straight, with shoulders back, do not slouch, walk with a firm, energetic step; stick to healthy image life, observe the rules of personal and public hygiene.
  3. In case of contractual relations or conditions at a guarded facility, it is allowed to wear civilian clothes, a suit (dress) and formal shoes business style, dim colors, emphasizing the neatness and neatness of the guard.
  4. A male security guard must always have a neat haircut, carefully shaved, and neatly dressed.
  5. The female security guard is advised to observe modesty and reasonable sufficiency in the use of cosmetics and wearing jewelry.
  6. A security guard should not mix uniform and civilian clothing, keep his hands in his pockets, wear uncleaned or worn-out shoes, or wear uniforms that have lost their proper appearance.

A security guard who violates the principles and norms of professional ethics loses his good name and honor, discredits his unit, and is deprived of the moral right to respect, support and trust from citizens, colleagues and colleagues.

In order for the security guard or his management to know exactly what actions can be considered legal in a particular case, the Government of the Russian Federation introduced amendments that are important for various subsections. I, Sergey Mashchenko, would like to point out to subscribers and visitors of my blog the main provisions of the adopted adjustments:

    1. Various types of weapons permitted for security activities, but having an external resemblance to automatic military weapons, must be marked in special places with paint. This is carried out by the manufacturer, who also determines the location of application and the color of the paint.
    2. The executive authorities in the republics of the Russian Federation must allocate the required number of employees to the relevant bodies for monitoring and licensing private security and detective activities.
    3. Amount of payment for use different types weapons, as well as the procedure for using them, are determined by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

These rules and clarifications came into force from the moment the Resolution was adopted. In addition, a separate subsection defines a list of objects that should not be protected by private structures.

Since childhood, many young men dream of wearing a strict uniform, embroidered with various orders. Over time, the understanding comes that it is not so simple. And health does not always allow you to go to military service. Some are upset, believing that their childhood dream is ruined, while others are looking for alternative options. Firefighters, Ministry of Emergency Situations, police, security... And many more different areas. And what? The same shape that makes a girl's eyes sparkle. And there is a chance to receive the order. True, you don’t need to sew it on. You need to think about how to sew on a security guard's chevron, for example. By the way, an excellent option.

Probably, many people are faced with the same problem - how to correctly place stripes and chevrons on clothes. In fact, there is no definite rule; most often these conditions are spelled out in the regulatory documents of security companies and agencies. When this is not the case, take 8 cm from the shoulder seam of the right sleeve. It is worth noting that the chevron patch should be treated very responsibly, because it is the business card of a security guard. If the symbol is sewn crookedly or ugly, then it is unlikely that the enterprise will be taken seriously. In order not to make a mistake, before sewing on the chevron, it is worth drawing out its location on the form. It is better to do this with dry soap - these marks are clearly visible against the background and are easily erased. Still, before you get a security guard license, you need to try.

So, let's look at our drawing. You can hang the form on hangers to see the picture more clearly. The intended chevron must be exactly horizontal, and located exactly where it is prescribed. A ruler or centimeter will help with distance measurements. If there are any shortcomings, we correct them immediately. If not, we move on - take four or five pins, a chevron, a uniform and get comfortable. You need to pin the patch exactly to the sleeve. To do this, we use the previously drawn lines, inserting pins along them. Naturally, the position of the chevron also needs to be monitored. The location of the pins should not be where the seam will go - you can roughly navigate by the chevron pattern, the threads should not be visible.

Since getting a security guard's certificate is easier than joining the same police force, for example, quite a few people struggle with chevrons. And in order not to repeat their mistakes, let's move on to the next step. The chevron is on the sleeve, attached with pins, and, of course, has already been examined more than once - after all, the result must be perfect. And if everything is exactly like this - the chevron clearly occupies its pedestal - then sew it on for now. With strong threads, only to match the color of the patch design - so that they blend in. Sew on the inside, carefully. The thread must be tightened, otherwise over time the work will dangle on your shoulder. Anyone who wants to become a defense attorney knows how to obtain a private security guard certificate. But not everyone is ready to prepare their own form.
